As a wine lover I was keen to visit Chapel Down our local well known Vineyard and I must say I was pleasantly surprised!
The deluxe tour of started at 12.30pm with a glass of their sparkling followed by a glass of their signature white – flint dry and a glass of pinot noir accompanied by a delicious three course meal celebrating local produce including the most luscious mashed potatoes from the farm next door
The Pinot Noir was surprisingly good given our cooler climate– certainly a nice start and a taste of what was to come – wine, wine and more wine!
The tour of the vineyard would have been more enjoyable in better weather so a whistle stop tour followed by a slightly longer than usual wine tasting – with suited me down to the ground
The wine tasting was wonderful and plentiful, I would highly recommend the Chapel Down sparkling wine, Bacchus, flint dry and pinot noir for those looking for treat!
