Come rain or shine, Dungeness is well worth a visit all year round, so over the weekend we jumped in the car in Tenterden and is less than half an hour we arrived ready for a bracing walk on the shingle beach.
We watched the hardy fishermen bring in their catches, bought a delicious dressed crab at The Cute Little Fish hut, nosied in all the quirkly little art galleries and the windows of the beautiful holiday cottages, had a naughty hot chocolate from the End of the Line cafe where the Hythe and Dymchurch miniature railway train terminates and finished with unrivalled fish and chips at The Pilot pub. A perfect winters day out and just under 30 minutes drive from Tenterden !
